Simply add your flavoring, active ingredient and coloring and the Sucrose DC grade will act as the binder and flowing agent. It is important to note that depending on the active ingredient you might be required to add an anti-caking agent to or dry lubricant to the mix. If you have formulation questions then please do reach out to our team.
LFA’s Sucrose DC is hydrophobic which means that once tableted it is less likely to take on water. This can help protect active ingredients that are in the tablet.
LFA’s Sucrose DC has a glycemic index of 65 which is considered high. Because of this LFA’s Sucrose DC is good for products aimed at sports enthusiasts looking for a boost of energy, or for use in confectionery products designed to hit that sweet craving.
Unlike normal Sucrose that can not be used for tableting, the DC grade of Sucrose from LFA will flow extremely well through your tablet press and into small die cavities. This allows you to run your tablet press at higher speeds saving you time and money.
Due to the taste profile of Sucrose DC feedback from our customers indicates that LFA’s Sucrose is extremely good at masking the bitter taste of botanicals, vitamins and minerals. This makes it ideal for use in medicinal confectionery that is designed to an added health benefit.
LFA’s tabletable DC grade Sucrose leaves no after taste in the mouth. This can leave the mouth feeling cool and refreshed especially when paired with something like a mint flavor.
LFA’s Sucrose DC is composed of an identical structure to saccharose, or what is commonly known as table sugar used in most homes. It is what is known as a disaccharide. This means that each molecule of our Sucrose DC is made up of one molecule of fructose and one molecule of glucose, linked by glycosidic linkage.
